Ellman Entertainment is a full service production company. We direct, produce and edit all forms on non-fiction programming. Linda Ellman's documentary: "On Native Soil: The Documentary of the 911 Commission Report" was shortlisted for an Oscar nomination. Lionsgate purchased the rights. It can be seen on DVD, through Netflix and on MSNBC. We are currently seeking funding for a new doc called: JOCK. JOCK brings a little known chapter of horse racing history to life. It's a story-rich documentary
about the first generation of female jockeys who overcame sexual harassment, ridicule and life threatening compromises to wage a gallant fight for the right to ride in the late 60’s and early 70’s. Jock is a documentary where gender, age and passion collide when eight retired female jockeys saddle up one last time and attempt to go from retirement all the way to the winner’s circle....in a history making horse race.
