Biography: Magic Hair Studios delivers THE BEST audio/mix/sweetening and color/on-line 2k/HD finishing for Television (HD / SD) and indie film clients big and small, across a variety of work flows. We are a preferred vendor to DCI/Discovery, A&E, History Channel, FX Networks, Warner Brothers Home Distribution, E!, and Lifetime TV and are a known quantity to producers and show runners. We specialize in Documentary, Unscripted and indie film clients and help them get the most bang out of their post budgets. MHS is a ONE STOP shop, offering everything, top to bottom; GFX, cut downs, format conversions (PAL/NTSC), up/down rez (SD, HD), etc), VO facility, screening theater, on-line, off-line (creative and hosting), both as a creative partner or a hosting/support service. All of out talent at Magic Hair Studios are exactly that: TALENT! Our senior staff; Audio/Mix editor and my chief colorist; are Emmy nominated in their fields. We offer both DS Nitris & Symphony Nitris services for HD television color finishing in our main building; 2K theatrical color finishing & SFX/GFX in our 30 seat coloring theater and 5.1 sweetening audio and VO services. MHS is best known for audio on the Emmy nominated documentary “Blood Diamonds” and “Child Warriors” as well audio/color and finishing on signature properties such as “Modern Marvels” (2 seasons), “History’s Mysteries”, select A&E “Biography” episodes, TLC’s “Overhaulin’ ” (100 episodes!), TLC’s “Take Home Chef”, as well as syndication packing (domestic and international) and DVD packing for feature titles (The Fifth Element, Terminator 2, Jumanji, etc).
