I came to this site because of The Shift Movie. Documentaries are a great way to show people there is a better way than just Me and Mine. I knew they could disrobe important social probems like Super Size Me, Sicko and An Inconveniant Truth. But you need to "know something about" someone / some group / some culture in order to make a friend / to see other people care too / understand more about people who were brought up different (not better and not worse). Movies do it on a grand scale and with artistic liberties but documentaries can take it right down to individuals and their truth. I know you must be thinking where has she been because you would not be reading this if you did not believe in the value of documentaries. I wrote all of this as a BIG THANK YOU! Today was my epiphany which would not have happened without you.

Biography: 

Worked in accounting as Financial Analyst II for the City of Roseville until my retirement in 2008.
Lived for 15 years in a Spiritual community until 2008
Grandmother from 2007 forward
Moved back to LA 2008 (where my daughter and granddaughter live)
Guess that says it all.
