Biography: Nick has spent the best part of the last three decades living everywhere except his Scottish birthplace; most notably Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Brazil and now LA. Along the way he picked up Portuguese, a Masters in Cinematography from the AFI and his film-making partner in crime aka DOUBLE DOG FILMS director Kristina Robbins.
Nicks camera work in Vietnam and Mali for the feature documentary A POWERFUL NOISE premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in April 2008 and will play at Silverdocs soon after. You can see a trailer here http://www.apowerfulnoise.com/video.html
Nick's most recent work was in Tokyo on a project about the worldwide impact of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, FOLLOWING THE NINTH. Other highlights include the National Geographic's MY BRILLIANT BRAIN. Robert Greenwalds IRAQ FOR SALE, an ITVS Independent Lens Award for THE McCOMBIE WAY, a series of documentary style TV commercials for THE HEAVYWEIGHTS advertising agency as well as credits for work on the BBC, PBS, TLC and the Discovery Channel.
