Biography: 

Naomi S. Boak is an award-winning producer and director. Her most recent
documentary, Through A Dog’s Eyes, about service dogs and the people whose lives
they’ve changed, premiered on PBS in April 2010. At the same time, she developed a
science series with Lewis Black. Ms. Boak was also the executive producer of the
Primetime Emmy Award-winning The Forgetting: A Portrait of Alzheimer’s, the PBS
primetime documentary special, FAT and the PBS series, Life (Part 2), the show to help
boomers NOT hate growing old. Currently she is president of Boak & Company, a
television and web production company. For the eight years prior, she was senior
executive producer in the National Production Division at Twin Cities Public Television.
She has also been executive producer of web sites and social media campaigns
featured on PBS.org. Ms. Boak has written and produced Emmy Award-winning
children’s specials for CBS and was executive producer for the daily comedy show,
Snap Judgment, on Court TV. Boak also was in charge of television production and
public television sponsorship worldwide for the IBM Corporation, was executive producer
of the Lifetime Medical Television Network and senior vice president of production for
Reeves Television. She received an A.B. in anthropology from Stanford University and
did graduate work at the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television.
