Biography: Brazilian director /producer OTAVIO JULIANO began his career acting in a variety of plays, ranging from classic to contemporary such as “Don Juan” by Moliere and "Medea".
After moving to the US, he studied and graduated from the UCLA's Ext. 3 year program on Film, TV and New Media.
In 2001 Otavio co-founded InterFace Films along with the producer Luciana Ferraz.
Since then, Otavio directed the documentaries "Drive & Roll” about rock bands in Hollywood and "Third World California" about the latino labor exploration in Southern California, officially selected for the 22nd Chicago Latino Film Festival, Docusur Market in Spain, 2006 Los Angeles Chicano Film Festival, Cinemás Albuquerque Film Festival and the Habana Film Festival, Cuba, 2007.
A Árvore da Música (2009), The Music Tree, writen and directed by Otavio Juliano, was selected for the upcoming 25 Chicago Latino Film Festival and Cine LAs Americas film festival.
He is also currently directing the documentary "Diving for Life" about the extremely dangerous free-diving that the lobster fisherman expose themselves to on a daily basis.
Otavio Juliano is a proud member of the National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP) and the International Documentary Association (IDA).
