Biography: 

OutreMer Film is a new production company that specializes on the creation of films in, about and with the Middle East.

Our focus is on producing enthralling documentaries such as "SEAMS OF DESIRE” that dives intro in sexuality in the Arab World, investigations like “1979” about Arabia’s most traumatic year in modern history, or the historical biography of “WILHELM WASSMUSS”, Britain’s most fierce enemy in the Orient during WW1.

In addition to this, we are able to flawlessly carry out service-productions in the Middle East and Central Asia. From development to post-production, be it a documentary or a feature film: with us there’s no need to bring everything and everybody from abroad. We’ll enable you to actively and creatively collaborating with existing infrastructures, talent and crew, government institutions and local organizations.

Our unique position within this macro-region is based on a growing network of partnerships, collaborations and personal friendships. In the past decade, company founder Dirk van den Berg has delivered over a dozen projects for many international companies in the region - from the Maghreb to Jordan, from Syria to Iran and from Palestine to Afghanistan.
