Biography: Paul Frederick is a third generation musician/band leader. He has composed music for over forty film, television, industrial and documentary productions, as well as music for the concert hall. His music and saxophone performances can be heard on the Emmy nominated TV movie, "Laughter on the 23rd Floor;" the "VH1: Behind the Music" series, "Biography: The Ethel Merman Story;" the feature film "Slap Her, She’s French;" “Long Lost Love;” “Baja Run;” and "Cowboy Up (Inside The Extreme World Of Bull Riding),” Based in Los Angeles, Paul performs and records with his saxophone and clarinet regularly all over the country. Composes and arranges music for a variety of projects. Conducts a composing class for the DWW at AFI, is published with Warner Brothers and Alfred Publications. He is currently releasing an album of 1920’s pop music with a twenty-piece orchestra. Born in upstate New York, Paul began studying music at the age of five. He received a degree in film and television scoring from the University of California Los Angeles, and a Bachelor of Science Degree from the State University of New York at Albany where he specialized in electronic music. He has also studied jazz saxophone improvisation at the Eastman School of Music.
