
In late 2007, Peggy arrived at International Documentary Association
with 16 years of experience in the trenches of film, digital content and
music festivals, most notably: South by Southwest Conferences and
Festivals (SXSW), American Film Institute Film Festival (AFI FEST), and North by Northwest Music Festival (NXNW). She’s also worked on a host of other festivals like Austin City Limits Music Festival (ACLFest), and many more.
In addition to her festival and conference work, Peggy worked in 2005 at Austin Music Foundation (AMF)
to administrate the submissions process of the Musician Incubator
Program and was the main troubleshooter for AMF’s online processes,
handled logistics for the final selection interviews and competition
showcases in addition to overseeing their annual fundraising gala.
In
addition to her wealth of experience in event management, she employs
top-notch communication and leadership skills at International
Documentary Association. She has a long history of inspiring loyalty and
dedication within her staff, and the proven ability to take a nascent
organization and build multifunctional teams to work towards a common
goal. As a proven team-builder, logistics manager and process
administrator, she is an excellent fit for International Documentary
Association’s plans for the future.
At International Documentary
Association, Peggy also oversees each call for entries, submission
process, and screening process, including the organization and
management of all screening committees, as well as the successful
execution of the following events and programs:
Peggy grew up in Colorado, but earned her B.A. in Organizational Communications at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas.
