Biography: Krishnamurthi is a graduate in Agricultural sciences and post graduate in Psychology. He is presently leading Centre for Development Communication in DHAN Foundation. He has ten years of experience in the development communication. He is involved in designing communication packages for enhancing field action and facilitating policy advocacy in the themes of microfinance and water conservation. He has played a key role in producing a number of documentaries on development, publications on grassroots interventions and impacts, IEC materials on concepts and practices. He is currently involved in promoting community owned media centres with a mixed model of ICT based village information centres, community radio and community video in the coastal villages of TamilNadu. He is in the network of various development communication initiatives in the country, actively engaged in promoting community radio. He is the anchor of Development Film Festival organised every year at Madurai. His areas of interest are alternative media, development journalism and campaigning on development issues.
