A 15 year veteran of the entertainment industry, Jennifer Howd’s eclectic background includes work within feature film marketing, broadcast design, visual effects and post production.
Jennifer has been a much-sought-after Creative Producer and has worked on numerous high-profile projects including Focus Feature's acclaimed Robert Evans documentary "The Kid Stays in the Picture" and VH1's 10-part reality-based television series "My Coolest Years." Most recently, Jennifer served as Creative Producer/Director on Paragon Media's feature-length documentary, "Genomania."
In addition to consulting on a slate of other filmmakers' projects, Jennifer is currently Executive Producing, Co-Directing and overseeing the Marketing & Distribution strategy for the multi-platform documentary, “The Cancer Show” (in pre-production).
Beginning her career in NYC as a Publicist at MGM/United Artists, Jennifer worked on marketing campaigns for films such as Mike Figgis' Academy Award-winning "Leaving Las Vegas," Pedro Almodovar's "Live Flesh, Barry Sonnenfield's "Get Shorty," Mike Nichol’s "The Bird Cage" and Paul Verhoeven’s "Showgirls," as well as the James Bond franchise revival installments: "GoldenEye" and "Tomorrow Never Dies."
Jennifer later branched out on her own and segued into post production, where she’s been working as a multi-hyphenate freelance Creative Producer for the past 10+ years, overseeing motion graphics production and Visual Effects for major cable network image campaigns, feature documentary films, promos and commercials. Past clients have included: HBO, ESPN, Showtime, AMC, Discovery Health Network, Conde Nast Media Group, Speed Network, Focus Features, VS., Court TV and The NFL Network.
In addition to her entertainment production experience, Jennifer co-created and produced “The Queer Media & Entertainment Conference” (Q-Me Con) in NYC and Los Angeles dedicated to promoting queer visibility within the media & entertainment arenas.
She is the co-author of "The Gay & Lesbian Guide to College Life, published for The Princeton Review by Random House and has written restaurant and bar reviews for both Citysearch.com and New York Magazine’s website, NewYorkMag.com.
A New York University Tisch School of the Arts alumna, Jennifer graduated with honors and received a B.F.A. in Film and Television Production.
