Ray Ellis is a director, producer, director of photography and editor who has spent the last twenty years in all aspects of video and film production. His work in characterized by a commitment to the core values of creativity, teamwork, honor and service. Ellis has worked with commercial, non-profit, corporate and broadcast clients designing projects that enlighten, engage and inspire. His production credits include: “Certain Proof”, a feature documentary; “Namibia, The Last Desert Eden”, an African short on the rare Black Rhino; a myriad of videos for international non-profits such as The Nature Conservancy and CARE; and numerous commercial spots for advertising agencies and corporate clients.

• Footpath Pictures is a documentary production company dedicated to telling stories that reflect a social awareness on topics ranging from health and human need, peace and reconciliation, the environment and education.
• Director, Videographer, and Editor on Certain Proof: A Question of Worth, a feature-length documentary following three children with cerebral palsy and their struggle inside the public school system. Currently being submitted to international film festivals.
• Director, Producer, Writer, Videographer, Editor on Namibia: The Last Desert Eden, a documentary teaser in search of the rare Black Rhino.
• Director, Videographer and Co-Editor on numerous documentary shorts and non-profit videos for clients such as The Nature Conservancy (Guatemala), CARE (Peru), Cross-Cultural Solutions (Costa Rica), Duke University’s Center for Reconciliation, Habitat for Humanity and WUNC Public Radio.

• ARS was one of the largest production studios in the southeast with two 65’x65’ sound stages while also specializing in special effects and post-production.
• Produced national and regional television spots for advertising agencies and oversaw a team of producers working on commercial and corporate video and film projects.
• Produced the award winning broadcast commercials “Flood” and “Harvest” for SAS.
Manager, External Development - SouthPeak Interactive 1998-2002
• Managed a team of producers and oversaw the creation of game titles for partner companies Sony Playstation, Warner Brothers and Dreamworks Interactive.
• Produced twenty-two titles in a two-year period with licensed characters from Looney Tunes, The Flintstones, Scooby-Doo and Dukes of Hazzard.
New Technologies Film Production - SouthPeak Interactive 1996-1998
• Led a team that researched and developed a method of 35mm motion film production combining anamorphic photography and Super 35mm format, enabling viewers to seamlessly and interactively move through 360-degree real environments.
• Partners included Joe Dunton of Joe Dunton Cameras UK and currently Executive Vice President of Panavision Inc. and Ron Anderson, Senior Colorist at Cinefilm Atlanta.
• Oversaw color correction of 35mm motion film to video transfers.
