I am a film student just now starting to venture into the world of documentary film making. I am very interested in collaborating with anyone with an appreciation for documentary filmmaking and efforts to build community.
I was born & raised in Northern California. Sonoma County to be exact. I grew up in the little town of Healdsburg who's claims to fame are wine and being where Wes Craven's "Scream" was shot. I did not decide to pursue filmmaking in any way until moving to Phoenix, Arizona in 2007 and being inspired by Vincent Valdez's mural about the history of Chavez Ravine in Los Angeles during the 1950's. I felt the most appropriate way to tell this story would be through film. That night I decided to change my major a third time. This time settling on film (documentary film specifically).
In a relatively short amount time I've been very fortunate to have met and developed a strong network of friends, colleagues both in school and industry professionals. Most recently I along with two classmates have started our own production company specializing in documentary film and have produced three shorts and are in the process of developing our first feature length doc.
