Biography: 

Andrea Saparoff composes original music and sound design for films, TV, advertising and many other forms of creative media. As president of Acme Arts Inc., a certified woman-owned business (through WBENC) and the corporate parent of Saparoff Music, Andrea gets as much creative pleasure from scoring 30-second commercials, mobile phone ringtones and video game trailers as she does from writing a 2-hour dramatic movie score.

Andrea has scored a variety of movies, TV themes, pilots and specials for ABC, NBC, CBS, Lifetime Network, Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, Disney Channel and ESPN, to name a few. Recent film and TV projects include: Borrowing Time, a feature documentary directed by Robert Allan Black; and the Prudence movies starring Jane Seymour for Hallmark Channel.

Selections from her APM music library were recently used for a documentary on MLB network and several episodes of NBC’s Dateline.

A sampling of her international commercial and media clients include: Coca Cola, EA, Nike, Nissan, Volkswagen, Hyundai, Infiniti, Lexus, Kellogg, Cheerios, United Way, Foster Farms, Nestlé, Samsonite, Enterprise Car Rental, Mattel, Clorox and Nokia.

Andrea is a classically-trained musician who regularly immerses herself in researching, understanding and listening to a disparate range of musical styles—from hip hop to Tuvan throat singing. “While I’m perfectly comfortable writing for a traditional orchestra, I’m particularly passionate about mixing unusual sounds, textures and the latest in sampled ear candy to create eclectic music that is both accessible and refreshingly different,” explains Andrea. She is committed to collaborating with the writers, directors, producers and others on each creative team. “I feel collaboration is what makes the whole process fun, creatively rewarding and highly successful—for everyone in the mix.”
