Biography: Washington D.C.-based Stephanie Foerster is an independent documentary filmmaker who has traveled across the U.S. and internationally for the last decade, capturing people's stories about their culture, livelihoods, environment and education. She produced her first documentary, “Trees and People” while in Senegal nearly a decade ago--and was hooked. Stephanie has since shot and field produced in many countries including the Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Honduras, Sudan and Liberia. She has worked with Discovery Channel, the History Channel, the Illinois Humanities Council and various private businesses and government-funded non-profits.
