Biography: World Information Resources mission is to contribute to a growing understanding of the world by producing independent, in – depth visual reports. W I R collectively promotes, exhibits and sells the work of its member journalists in a collaborative effort to expand the
flow of information to the global, breaking and feature news wire.
As a group, W I R understands the challenges of expressing the voices of voiceless, in a language capable of renewing itself with respect to the human dignity of the subjects. They are journalists, aware of the major changes facing traditional media in favor of an always - bigger diffusion of multimedia platforms.
Although they respect the marketplace as it is, they will neither take direction from it nor base their decisions solely upon its content demands. They will continue to pursue the projects they value.
Collective and multi media projects are at the core of W I R. The journalists produce important and meaningful in - depth visual investigations while pursuing both short and long - term projects. They believe in uniting their individual visions on this collective, web- based work - space.
The members of W I R have created a means to direct their professional lives towards achieving their vision by effectively pooling their information resources to give the audience a comprehensive and diversified overview of an issue. W I R seeks the collaboration of NGOs and foundations, and the financial support of grants, subsidies and sponsorship.
