Biography: Steven Fischer has been producing character-driven documentaries since 1996 and is a two time Emmy® nominee. Four of his last five documentaries were fully funded and each multi-award winning. Highlights: Belvoir (2008) and Francis Scott Key: Legacy of a Life in Service (2008) both received national Telly Awards, as did his Civil War docu-drama, Now & Forever Yours: Letters to an Old Soldier (2007) which was also nominated for an Emmy® Award. Freedom Dance (2007), an animated documentary narrated by Mariska Hargitay, won the CINE Masters Series Award. Draw the Line: An Animator’s Showcase (2006), a look at the animation profession, received the CINE Golden Eagle Award.
