Mike Skiff is a Los Angeles-based photojournalist and documentarian. Subject matter tends towards, LGBT and civil rights issues, live performances, and stories that champion the common person - along side LA Lakers, red-carpet press arrives and politics.
Skiff's photojournalism was heavily featured in the LGBT/Proposition 8 documentary, 'Annul Victory'. Much of the camera work was done during the angry protest marches in the streets of Los Angeles that followed Prop 8's passage, including scenes of physical violence and clashes with LAPD and demonstrators.
In 2011, Skiff directed his first feature-length documentary, 'Kink Crusaders', which won Best Documentary win it premiered in NYC at the CineKink Film Festival. It also took the Bronze Palm Award at the Mexico International Film Festival. 'Kink Crusaders' is the story of the world's oldest male Leather competition, the International Mr. Leather contest, held annually in Chicago for over 30 years. 'Kink Crusaders' signed with Breaking Glass Pictures for North American distribution.
Skiff is already at work on his follow-up documentary about 'hoaxing, Hollywood and civl liberties'.
