Biography: María Margarita López was selected as a fellow for the 2009 NALIP Latino Producer's Academy, Documentary Track. The selected project, COVARRUBIAS: A Bridge Among Cultures, is a portrait of visionary artist Miguel Covarrubias whose work during the early 20th century influenced artists, shifted social perceptions, and enriched artistic communities worldwide. She is also in post production on PLAY BALL!, a full-length documentary about the first gay softball league in Los Angeles directed by Wilson Ferragut. María is a partner in Urban Photo Adventures, the only photo tour company dedicated to the urban landscape. As a marketing consultant she specializes in niche entertainment industry publications and events.
