Biography: Wolfgang became an openly gay artistic and social activist in 1986, while he was volunteering for three years at the largest musicians’ union in the United States, the Local 802, in New York City. He was managing the Rock/ R&B committee and its 1,200 members, producing seminars and showcases in Manhattan.
Wolfgang has received “Humanitarian” and “Best Documentary” awards as director, producer, cinematographer, and editor for his first documentary How Do I Look. The film was released in 2006 in the United States and continues to be shown at film festivals worldwide.
Wolfgang brings attention and awareness to underserved trendsetting communities, such as the Harlem Drag Ball community, the Flagging, Fanning & Floguing communities in New York City and Chicago, the gay artistic community in Queens, NY; and people with disabilities in the performing arts”. His goal is to bring artistic and social empowerment to these and other underserved communities.
Wolfgang is an inspiration and motivator for people from all walks of life. He is a grass-roots community organizer who breaks down stereotyping, racism, sexism, and homophobia, closing the gap between disadvantaged communities and the community at large.
