A Big Thanks to All Our Recent Sponsors and Donors
The IDA's community of documentarians, industry professionals and connoisseurs of nonfiction film have outdone themselves! We've closed out 2014 and kicked off the New Year with some very generous contributions.
In the past few weeks, we welcomed a number of new premier-level members. Donor Gloria Brandes became an IDA member at the Supporter Level with a contribution of $2,500. Her company, BB Dakota, was a key sponsor of the 2014 IDA Documentary Awards. Other new upper-level members include Lizabeth Rogers and Elizabeth Kucinich, who joined at the Friend ($500) level; and Carrie Lozano and Erin Derham, who each contributed $250 to come aboard as Collaborators. We are also delighted to welcome back into the fold Unjoo Moon, who renewed her Friend-level membership.
We'd be remiss to not recognize the recent generosity of IDA Board members Fonda Berosini ($500), Laurie Ann Schag ($500) and Laurie Kaman ($250). Thank you so much for setting this great example for the entire IDA community!
Our ongoing year-end/new year donation appeal has been a smashing success. Longstanding IDA champion Jessie Ewing raised the fundraising bar with an incredibly generous gift of $10,000. We also received major contributions from Roger Weisberg and Karen Freedman ($1,000); Ray Bellamy ($1,000); Matthew Kallis ($500); Ted Sarandos ($2,000); Barry Rubinow ($250); Laura Kim ($750); the Debra McLeod and Jay Sears Foundation ($1,000); and Nancy Polikoff and Cheryl Swannack ($1,000), who also donated to a film in the IDA's Fiscal Sponsorship Program. And we are so grateful for a gift of $5,000 from an anonymous donor. You know who you are!
Last but not least, we are thrilled to announce Sony as a sponsor of our venerable Doc U educational series for nonfiction filmmakers.
We are deeply grateful to each and every one of these supporters, and to all who invest in documentary culture by giving to the IDA. You can join their esteemed ranks by becoming an IDA member, making a tax-deductible donation, or sponsoring an IDA program or event.
