About the Project
In the midst of China's monumental transformation to a modern society, Chinese Opera, a unique blend of performing arts that reflects the soul of its ancient culture, is quickly disappearing. Filmed in mainland China over a six-year period, with additional scenes shot in Iran and California, this 60-minute documentary takes an intimate look into the lives of four performers as they struggle to survive in a rapidly changing world.
