About the Project
The Row is a feature-length documentary about the most poverty-stricken and seemingly hopeless fifty square blocks in America: Skid Row, downtown Los Angeles. Through the astounding life stories of a handful of residents, notably Leroy - an African-American artist and veteran struggling to get off the streets after twenty years of homelessness and drug addiction - audiences will learn that homeless isn't synonymous with hopeless. And that contrary to perceived wisdom, most of America's most ignored and oppressed citizens are eager to start over - like the phoenix that rises from his own ashes.
