The Judische Kulturbund Project
The Judische Kulturbund Project explores the dilemma that Jewish artists faced in Germany in the 1930s and early 1940s and what artists around the world face today. What is your moral obligation? What do you do as an intellectual artist living in a tyrannical state: risk your life to fight tyranny or escape your country because the gifts you have are more valuable to the entire world? This eternal question is deeply relevant in countries like Syria, China, Iraq, Zimbabwe, and anywhere artists with dissenting beliefs or messages face persecution or even death.
