A Life Worth Living - Solution for Schizophrenia

Director:
Radu Sava
Producers:
Suzanne A. Patterson

This film is about the challenges families face when their child is diagnosed with schizophrenia, and a solution for schizophrenia developed and patented by Dr. Jose Mackliff called B.E.A.M. BEAM stands for bi-lateral electro-coagulation of the Adrenal Medulla and has successfully eliminated the symptoms of schizophrenia in the 100 patients it has been done on.BEAM is a fairly new treatment option for people with schizophrenia, and was developed over a 30-year period of research and testing by Dr. Jose Mackliff, Ecuadorian psychiatrist and scientist. BEAM works hand-in-hand with antipsychotic drug treatment, but slowly reduces and eliminates the need for antipsychotics. BEAM is only done in Ecuador, where it is a legal procedure.BEAM has been presented at the World Congress BITS Neurotalk conferences in 2011 and 2015, along with a case study of Sergio, one of the most dramatic BEAM Procedure cases. The film interviews the doctors who do the BEAM procedure and patients who have received the treatment and now live normal lives. It is a message of real hope for those who have schizophrenia now and their families.

The film, to be released December, 2017, includes filmed case study interviews with patients who have had the BEAM Surgery. These case study videos can be viewed on schizophreniasolution.org, the film producer's website.
