Two young Black teenagers stand back-to-back with a single arm stretched out in opposite directions. They stand under a spotlight on stage in front of a projection screen showing a graffitied pipeline. Several other students sit on the stage around them, sitting next to sound bowls.

About the Project

As the nation struggles with the systemic history of mass incarceration, four courageous incarcerated youth of color, inspired by Homer’s Odyssey, strive to avoid becoming victims of the prison pipeline. Our Sundance-awarded documentary team seeks emergency funds to provide legal defense for one of the film's main characters, a young black man in Santa Maria, unjustly facing 17 years in prison in a trial starting June 30, 2021.
