About the Project

Sometime in your life you have probably been blamed for something you did not do. It’s unjust - you’re angry. Now imagine spending 27 years in prison for something you didn’t do.

Far from a “woe is me” story or an indictment of the criminal justice system. This is a story of positives; resilience, compassion, humor, forgiveness. The very best of what it means to be human.

The five men that make up the Exoneree Band spent a combined 107 years in prison for crimes they did not commit  and now  these 5 middle aged guys are taking the band on the road.

The cliché of “perhaps innocent of that - but guilty of something” is not accurate and must be challenged. The wrongfully convicted are not who you think they are and there are a lot more of them than you realize.

The facts concerning wrongful conviction are alarming - but facts don’t motivate people - stories do. These five men have a remarkable story.
