Walls Cannot Keep Us From Flying
Omar and Yasmeen are determined to make a difference in their communities. They both face the obstacles of the Israeli occupation and both have a need to make the best of life as they know it. They do this by riding their skateboards, but that is just the beginning. Both are instructors at local skate camp SkateQilya, and they engage the local youth in forms of positive expression to vent their frustrations with daily life. They dream of spreading their love of skateboarding beyond their local communities and to realize personal freedom even if they cannot find it in daily life.
