Filmmaker Eric Weinrib explores a taboo subject in his family’s history in an attempt to get to know the uncle he never met. Along the way he discovers that his uncle Irwin’s preventable death in the U.S. Army in 1955 sparked a national news story, Eleanor Roosevelt's ire, and a congressional investigation. But what begins as an intensely personal journey unfolds into a universal meditation on life, love, family, and loss.
