In the course of a decade, Paula DuPre' Pesmen has established herself as just such a producer. Working with three first-time directors, her astonishing track record includes this year's highly acclaimed Keep On, Keepin' On, the Academy Award®-winning The Cove (2009) and Sundance award-winning Chasing Ice (2012). In this Master Class on Producing, Paula will share her insights into what it takes to establish and maintain strategically vital relationships, successfully manage and maximize budgets, and squeeze the full creative potential out of each of her films.

Paula DuPre’ Pesmen

Since 2005, Paula DuPre’ Pesmen has produced the renowned documentaries Keep On Keepin' On (Tribeca Audience Award 2014 and Seattle Film Festival Audience Award 2014), Chasing Ice (Sundance Film Festival Cinematography Award 2012 and SXSW Audience Award 2012) and The Cove (Academy Award® Winner 2009 and Sundance Film Festival Audience Award 2009.)

Pesmen’s prior background was in features, as an Associate Producer on the producing team of such films as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Rent, Mrs. Doubtfire and Stepmom. She was honored with the 2010 Producer of the Year Award by the Producer’s Guild of America. In June, 2011, DuPre’ Pesmen was named a Local Hero in Oprah Winfrey’s O Magazine.
