Keynote, Panel, Q&A, and Reception

In this post-Final Cut Pro 7 world, many doc makers are asking, “What do I cut my next doc with?” Doc post expert Matt Radecki and master editor Doug Blush, along with a stellar group of editors and filmmakers, will guide you through a tour of workflow essentials and editing platforms that will answer your burning questions and set you on the path toward a successful edit of your next doc. In addition, company reps will be on hand to meet with you and answer questions, too.

First Matt Radecki of Different By Design will give an overview of the documentary post-production workflow from the start of production through the delivery of your film. This information is critical for anyone making a documentary, from directors and producers to editors and even DP’s. The lecture will be filled with tips and suggestions that could save your film (and your budget).

Master editor Doug Blush will then moderate a panel discussion with several filmmaking/editing teams discussing the pros and cons of cutting on such platforms as Premiere, Avid, Final Cut Pro X, and Da Vinci Resolve 12 and offering insights into which platforms may be right for your next project. Following the panel, a generous amount of time will be devoted to answering all of your questions.
