Originally from Mexico City, Carlos Aguilar is a Los Angeles-based film critic and journalist whose work has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, the New York Times, Variety, The Wrap, among others. He is a member of the Los Angeles Film Critics Association (LAFCA), the National Society of Film Critics (NSFC), and the Critics Choice Association (CCA).
