Everardo González

Everardo González is a Mexican documentary filmmaker. His most notable films include Pulque Song (La canción del pulque, 2003), The old thieves (Los ladrones viejos, 2007), The Open Sky (El cielo abierto, 2011), Drought (Cuates de Australia, 2011), and El Paso (2015), all of which have been screened and awarded at major international film festivals including Berlin, IDFA, Toulouse, Locarno, Montreal, BAFICI, Sarajevo, Guadalajara, Valladolid, and Morelia. His film Devil’s Freedom (La libertad del diablo, 2017) received the Amnesty International Award at the Berlinale. His most recent feature film, A Wolfpack Called Ernesto (Una jauría llamada Ernesto), premiered at the Hot Docs Festival in Toronto in 2023.
