DocuClub LA: Mr. Toilet

IDA Office, 3470 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 980, Los Angeles CA 90010

About the Screening

Please join us Thursday, October 11, for DocuClub LA with a screening of Mr. Toilet: The World’s #2 Man. Following the screening, we will be joined by director/producer Lily Zepeda, producer Tchavdar Georgiev, and co-editor, Monique Zavistovski  for a moderator discussion led by Kristin Feeley, Director, Labs and Artist Support Programs for the Sundance Institute Documentary Film Program.

It's a dirty job, but Singaporean entrepreneur Jack Sim is fighting the world's sanitation crisis one loo at a time. Mr. Toilet, as he likes to be called, founded the other WTO, The World Toilet Organization, and after thirteen years spent lobbying 193 countries, he created “UN World Toilet Day.” But he is soon to learn there is a price to pay for being the World’s #2 superhero. Can this visionary, who travels the world smashing taboos about humanity's most ignored health disaster, save the 2.4 billion people in dire need of toilets?

Doors open at 7:00 pm. Screening, followed by a moderated feedback discussion with the filmmakers - 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm. Drinks and snacks will be available for a modest suggested donation.

Space is very limited so please update your RSVP if you can't make it so we can have a real count of the attendees. Admission not guaranteed, all RSVP's are first-come, first served.
