T3Media Launches New Digital Content Commerce Service Paya

By IDA Editorial Staff

On Wednesday, June 27, T3Media, Inc. (formerly Thought Equity Motion) announced the launch of a new licensing offering Paya™, the world's new index of licensable content. T3Media, a leading provider of cloud-based video management and licensing services, launched Paya™ as a way to help creators make money from the content they produce.

With Paya™, the content creator is in control. Allowing producers to set their own asking prices on the content they want to sell, Paya™ can be added to a user's Flickr profiles, Vimeo accounts, and personal websites to help license original videos and photos at a rate that benefits the original creator of the content. Now, producers of all sizes can sell their unique media by turning their personal websites and social networks into a virtual storefront. Sellers can quickly make their content sellable with a Craigslist-style listing tool, choose their own terms and pricing, and keep an 80% share from every sale.

"Content creation has radically outpaced distribution and Paya™ offers powerful tools to unlock content’s value," says Kevin Schaff, CEO and Founder of T3Media. "Traditional, centralized licensing channels only serve a tiny fraction of the billions of photos and videos being created. Our company has nearly a decade of experience with content access and licensing and we believe that Paya™ is a game changer in opening up a more than $15 billion market for content in a wide range of existing and new uses."
