A-Doc is a US-based network of nonfiction film workers committed to reimagining our field and harnessing storytelling to strengthen our communities and shape our own futures. As A-Doc marks its 10th anniversary, we are hosting a delegation of six current and rising nonfiction film changemakers at Getting Real '26. These individuals demonstrate community leadership both within and beyond the film industry, and are looking to strengthen the creation and impact of documentary storytelling. This cohort reflects A-Doc’s decade-long commitment to building a documentary ecosystem rooted in mutual care, sustainability, and accessibility, and to ensuring that the people shaping that future have a seat at the table.

Palestine Film Institute (PFI) is dedicated to preserving and promoting the Palestinian narrative and cinematic beyond tradition. We are pleased to take part in the Getting Real Conference, which strengthens our long-standing partnership with the International Documentary Association (IDA). During Getting Real, four Palestinian filmmakers will showcase their work-in-progress documentaries. This provides an excellent opportunity for filmmakers and producers to engage directly with key names in the film industry, including decision-makers, funding bodies, and festival programmers. PFI’s mission with this delegation is to create good conditions that facilitate meaningful connections, advancing projects, fostering partnerships, and open opportunities for long-term production and distribution.
