About the Project

In the heady days of modern art’s rise to prominence, John and Kimiko Powers were the ultimate collectors’ collectors, an art world power couple who were confidantes of the most famous artists of the time. But at the peak of their influence, they left the New York art scene for Colorado's tranquility, where they built an enduring legacy of art’s power to connect and inspire humanity. For the first time, John and Kimiko’s story will be told through a wealth of never-before-seen interviews with Andy Warhol, Robert Rauschenberg, Roy Lichtenstein, Claes Oldenburg and others, as well as the art world luminaries they inspired.
