About the Project

Bubblez is a feature documentary set in New Orleans that follows a passionate drag mother leading the House of Alexander, a chosen family of LGBTQ+ young adults, as Black queer spaces disappear across the city. Bubblez’s world shifts when his estranged biological teenage daughter moves in, reshaping their understanding of family, acceptance, and faith.
