Misha is a podcast host and producer. Her most recent show Tell Them, I Am, was called “quietly revolutionary” by the LA Times, “hypnotic listening” by the New York Times, and is one of TIME’s 10 best podcasts of 2019. It’s about the small defining moments in our lives— the voices are all Muslim; the stories are universal. Just a couple months before “Tell Them, I Am,” Misha produced The Big One: Your Survival Guide, called “riveting” and “strangely reassuring” by The New Yorker. All this podcasting started with Beginner, Misha's autobiographical series about learning to belong as an immigrant in America. It was featured on NPR and WIRED.

Misha is just as passionate about podcast training as she is production and hosting. She created "How to Make a Podcast," has taught at Transom and is an adjunct professor of podcast at USC Annenberg. Outside of podcasting, Misha writes for McSweeney’s and the Wall Street Journal. Many moons ago, she got her Masters in Journalism from Northwestern where she started her audio and writing career.
