About the Project
“Hooyo Hodan Sanidaa” is a powerful and emotional documentary project that seeks to honor the strength and resilience of Somali mothers living in rural areas. The story centers on a mother walking a long distance from her village, carrying one child on her back while holding another by the hand. Her journey is not about herself—but about protecting her children from hunger and exhaustion. She carries a small bottle of water and a little milk, not for her own thirst, but to nourish her children during this tiring journey on foot.
This film aims to shed light on the silent strength of such mothers whose sacrifices often go unnoticed. Your donation will help us bring this vital story to life—covering essential production costs such as equipment, crew, transportation, and post-production. Every dollar makes a difference and contributes to amplifying a story that deserves global recognition.
Please join us in celebrating the dignity and endurance of Somali mothers.
Together, we can ensure their voices are heard across the world.
