About the Project
Eight former political prisoners reunite fifty years after their detention in one large room together during Argentina’s last military dictatorship. From memory alone, the women will collectively author a short film adaptation of their prison-era performance of The House of Bernarda Alba by Federico García Lorca. The group, engaged in collective work, will be the protagonist of a documentary film that chronicles the political memory that erupts through their creative practice.
