In a farmhouse basement on the Iowa countryside, eccentric collector Mike Zahs makes a remarkable discovery: the showreels of the man who brought moving pictures to America’s Heartland. He soon begins a journey to restore the restore the legacy of America’s greatest barnstorming movieman and save these irreplaceable cinematic treasures from turning to dust. Saving Brinton is a portrait of one unlikely Midwestern folk hero, at once a meditation on living simply and a celebration of dreaming big.

Preceded by a screening of the short film "Lotte that Silhouette Girl” a short animated documentary about the fantastic and creative life of film pioneer Lotte Reiniger. Includes a post-film conversation with Andrew Sherburne, Director; Tommy Haines, Director; and Michael Zahs, Subject.
