Dear IDA Community:

We are excited to share that IDA will begin programming in-person public events in Los Angeles this fall. These events will complement our ongoing virtual events to ensure we serve our community wherever you are. As we re-introduce the in-person component of our public programming we will prioritize the health and safety of our members, audiences and IDA staff. With this in mind I would like to update you on the safety measures IDA is putting in place for our upcoming events.

We now require that all IDA staff, volunteers and attendees be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and that everyone on site wear a mask at all times (while not eating or drinking), whether the events are indoors or outdoors.

All attendees will be required to provide proof of vaccination to enter an IDA event. To verify your vaccination status, be prepared to provide a physical vaccination card, a photo of your vaccination card, or a state/city-approved vaccination passport (Californians can retrieve their digital record at myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov). Accessibility accommodation requests will be considered on an individual basis.

As with everything COVID-19 related, the situation is ever-evolving and all IDA rules regarding masking and vaccination are subject to change pending updated requirements or recommendations.

As we grapple with the consequences of the global pandemic and adapt to the ways it continues to affect our lives, I have to acknowledge our community’s resilience. These have been very difficult times. Yet you have helped sustain our organization and we have tried our best to support you all. Our wish is that together we can emerge from the crisis a stronger, more cohesive documentary family. We look forward to seeing you soon.
