Group of killer whales are swimming under the sea.

Marine biologist and explorer Andreas B. Heide braves frigid winter conditions in the Norwegian Arctic aboard his small sailboat Barba as he embarks on a quest to better understand the ocean’s top predator, Orca. Joined by dedicated bioacoustics researcher Dr. Heike Vester they investigate the Orca’s incredible ability to communicate and navigate through the darkness with sound. Through this examination we begin to decipher the orca language and uncover acoustic impacts we are having on our counterparts in the sea.
