The Winter 2021 issue takes up where Getting Real ‘20 left off, when, in the midst of a firestorm of a year, a global assembly of attendees addressed head-on the issues and themes that had been driving the community. Here we publish the keynote addresses from filmmakers Maria Agui Carter, Zeng Jinyan and Sam Feder, Besides Getting Real, there was Creative Futures, a collection of essays commissioned by the Ford Foundation. We have republished six of the essays, by a cross-section of thought leaders, about where we ought to be heading in these unsteady days.
